LCH provides homes for people in Luton and South Bedfordshire who are least able to compete in today’s market. The supply of suitable accommodation is limited, so to ensure fairness we assess all applicants for eligibility using a points system. To be considered for re-housing by LCH, applicants need to score at least a minimum number of points. When you achieve the required number of points, we immediately put you on our waiting list for a suitable property. Points are awarded if you suffer from:

• Overcrowding
• Sharing or lacking basic amenities
• No security of tenure
• Property unsuitable for reasons of health or disability
• Homelessness
• Separated families
• Social needs (eg harassment)
• Requiring support from friends or relatives
• Poor state of repair of current property
